As President of Fargo Firefighters Local 642, it is an honor to represent the dedicated men and women who serve this city with professionalism, courage, and compassion. Every time the alarm sounds, our firefighters answer the call — whether it’s a structure fire, a medical emergency, or a disaster response — because we are committed to protecting our neighbors and our city.

Local 642 is more than a labor union. We are advocates for public safety, defenders of professional standards, and active members of the community. Our mission is not only to ensure fair working conditions for our members, but to strengthen the safety and well-being of every person who calls Fargo home.

In recent years, the demands placed on firefighters have increased. From more frequent emergency calls to new challenges like mental health crises and severe weather events, the scope of our work continues to expand. That’s why we are working closely with city leaders to ensure adequate staffing, modern equipment, and access to resources that allow us to serve effectively — and return home safely.
